So the community's been nuturing this one for a good while, but not too many people play it, since it's a complex game. On the plus side, this tends to repel the more stupid, annoying demographic of the online gaming world.
I'd still like to see more people play it, though. It's got low system requirements (although perhaps raised since release due to improvements in the game's graphics), awesome gameplay, lots of mods (There was even a Star Wars conversion at one point), and so forth. I played for some time between 2006-2008, myself.

Now that I think of it, I'm guessing that a large amount of the playerbase took up EVE Online in addition to playing Allegiance. Fun, no?
